NORTH CENTRAL SECTION · HOSTED BY THE INDIANA CHAPTER
NCS Fall Section Meeting
Hilton Garden Inn Fishers · October 2–4, 2026. Three days of flying, touring, and hangar talk. Arriving early? There’s a hangar party on Thursday night.
One week to go. Registration is still open – send your form to Erin Hammer.
How to register
Registration is $152 per person. That covers the Friday networking dinner, Saturday’s boxed lunch and banquet, and two drink tickets for the banquet bar.
Mail it to Erin Hammer, 18903 Hague Road, Noblesville, IN 46062
Pay by cash or check made payable to Indiana 99s, or by PayPal to @indiananinetynines.
The form asks which boxed lunch you’d like on Saturday: turkey, ham, or vegetarian. It also asks which Rolls-Royce museum bus you want. Space on that tour is limited, so send your form early if you want a seat.

What’s happening
Friday: networking dinner at Republic Airways
Republic Airways is hosting a Friday evening dinner at their training facility, with a behind-the-scenes look at how they train pilots. Republic provides transportation both ways. Scholarship presentations are the same evening.
Saturday: Rolls-Royce Heritage Trust Museum
Saturday afternoon we tour the Rolls-Royce Heritage Trust Allison Branch museum: historic aircraft engines, artifacts, and decades of aerospace engineering. Space and transportation are both limited, so pick your bus on the registration form.
Saturday: banquet at the Warbird Hangar
Saturday’s banquet is in the Tom Wood Aviation Warbird Hangar, surrounded by historic aircraft. Barbecue catered by Mary’s Kitchen: smoked meats, homestyle sides, and dessert. Your registration includes two drink tickets, then it’s a cash bar.
Guest speaker: Laura Goldsberry
Ninety-Nine Laura Goldsberry grew up in Fort Wayne and learned to fly through Purdue’s Professional Pilot Program. She went on to become Purdue’s first tenured female assistant professor in the General Flight Technology Department.
Holding both fixed-wing and helicopter ratings, she joined the U.S. Customs Service Air and Marine Division in 1986 as its first female federal agent and pilot. She spent 27 years there in air interdiction, surveillance, and undercover operations, at home and abroad. She later instructed and examined at FlightSafety International, and is a member of the Indiana Aviation Hall of Fame.
What to wear
It’s October, so Saturday’s banquet has an aviation-themed Halloween twist. Come as your favorite female aviator, or lean into 1930s–40s wartime elegance. There’s no formal dress code — aim for festive and a little glamorous rather than casual. An Amelia? A Bessie? A Jacqueline?
Flying in
Indianapolis Metro Airport (KUMP) is the field to use — it’s minutes from the hotel, and it’s where Thursday’s hangar party is.
FBO: Tom Wood Aviation, 317-849-0840, on the southwest side of the field. Free tie-down parking, and full-service fuel at the self-service price. Open 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM daily.
Flying in? Transportation from KUMP to the hotel is available by prior arrangement — call Erin at (317) 727-1698 before you come.
Bring something for the silent auction
Bring a contribution for the silent auction if you can. Fly Market and auction hours will be announced closer to the date.
